7.30pm: Action Arts Group: An Evening of Jazzzzz
The Armstrong, Thornbury

An Evening of Jazzzzz featuring Marvin Muoneke, gifted jazz singer-songwriter and trumpeter, brought to you by the Action Arts Group.

His bass-baritone voice has been referred to as rich, deep and smooth. His style is heavily influenced by the likes of singers such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holliday. He has performed in Paris and many London theatres, including the London Palladium.

Bringing the sounds of mid-20th century jazz to modern listeners of all ages, Marvin possesses a rare and beautiful presence that can light up any audience.

Marvin is performing on Saturday 17th June 7.30 at the Cossham Hall, Chapel Street, Thornbury, BS35 2BJ.

The Armstrong's diary is now open for bookings.

Both The Foyer and The Cossham are available to hire from as little as £15 per hour. So whether you’re a community group looking for a meeting space, a local theatre company in need of a performance venue or an individual planning a milestone celebration, we have you covered.

We need for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team.

Whether you’re interested in caring for the premises, supporting events and activities, or pulling a pint behind the bar, please CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

There’ll be a series of sessions in early March to introduce all active supporters to the venue and explain how it will operate.

This will be for everyone who’s expressed an interest, whether it’s on an occasional basis, ad hoc, or more frequently.
