The Armstrong Arts Group (AAG) was created in 2019 as a result of the fund-raising effort to help redevelop the Armstrong Hall in Thornbury started in 2011 by Joan Hawkins, Daphne Ashton and Barbara Ray.
Its aims are to promote and maintain entertainment opportunities in Thornbury for all ages and interests for the benefit of Thornbury and the surrounding area in which individuals will be able to enjoy and appreciate various cultural and entertainment events.
In view of the closure of the Armstrong Hall Complex, any funds currently raised by the events organised by the group will be utilised to facilitate further cultural events and activities.
The programme organised by the AAG includes musical performances, drama productions and talks.
