Papilio Coffee Team Members


Home and Coffee

We're looking for 2 new people to join our team in Papilio coffee.

As we look ahead to reopening Papilio coffee (not the 12th April!) we need a couple of people to join the team to serve our lovely customers and cook in our kitchen.

The first role is for a Cook/Coffee Shop Assistant and is 2 days during the week and alternate Saturdays. One of these days is as cook in the kitchen.

The second role is for a Coffee Shop Assistant and is 1 day during the week and every Saturday.

We're looking for people who are bubbly, willing to learn, and who wants to help us in making the shop as welcoming to all as possible. A passion for baking and tea/coffee doesn't hurt either. Due to these roles involving the selling and serving of alcohol the applicants do need to be 18+.

We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the South West, working with over 2,500 young people. We have strong local partnerships and adhere to the best practice in the sector. What we are looking for:

•You are passionate about and skilled at enabling young people to achieve their aspirations.
•You skilfully engage vulnerable young people to build positive and trusting relationships, which can be used as a tool for change.
•You are passionate about developing young people’s independence and their active involvement in our organisation shines through your flexible and creative approach.
•You give clear and consistent messages to young people who may present challenging behaviour, who may be chaotic, distressed and have learned not to trust.

What you will be doing:

•Supporting a case load of young people within the service, assisting those young people to reach their goals, aims and aspirations.
•Using your problem-solving skills, you will manage challenging behaviour in the property.
•Being a great team player, you will work with colleagues to ensure that the best possible support is delivered and that targets are achieved.
•By having a flexible approach to support and by being creative, you will help, encourage and engage young people to become involved in the service, the organisation and the wider community.
•By being well organised, efficient and effective, you will ensure accurate and timely record keeping and recording of support and housing management work in the service.
•Working on a rota pattern, including evenings and one weekend in four.

You will be in the Woodleaze team and your line manager will be our Woodleaze Manager.

What we are offering:

•Contract type: Permanent
•Pay: £24,012 – £25,481 per annum (pro rata based on 0.9 FTE)
•The location: You will be based in Woodleaze in Yate, within walking distance of the train station with excellent links to central Bristol.

Various roles at The Swan, Tytherington


As we prepare to reopen on May 17th we are looking to to fill several roles that have become available as follows...

2 x Part Time Contracted Waiting Staff working 13hrs and 8hrs per week.

Position one is working - Monday & Friday 6pm-10pm and Sunday Lunch time 12-5

Position Two is working Tuesday & Saturday 6pm-10pm

The mix of the above shifts can be changed to suit the right person (but weekends are a must) an applicants must be 16+.

2 x Part Time Contracted Bar Persons to work shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening as well as Sunday lunch time applicants must be 18+

We are also looking for 3 x casual workers to fill shifts when required on a 0 hour contract (this role would suit students)

We are looking for people who can work under pressure as we get very busy and it’s more stressful than you think!
Be able to hold a conversation and have good communication skills.
Being able to multi task is a must!
Reliable and hardworking.
And having a sense of humour is also required!
If you don’t like a fast paced environment this isn’t for you!

We be holding training days before reopening so experience isn’t necessary but is ideal.

You will be in the Woodleaze team and your line manager will be our Woodleaze Senior Project Worker.

•30 days holiday or a day in lieu if working a bank holiday (pro rata for part time).
