Action Arts Group


The Action Arts Group (formerly the Armstrong Arts Group) (AAG) was created in 2019 as a result of the fund-raising effort to help redevelop the Armstrong Hall in Thornbury started in 2011 by Joan Hawkins, Daphne Ashton and Barbara Ray.

Its aims are to promote and maintain entertainment opportunities in Thornbury for all ages and interests for the benefit of Thornbury and the surrounding area in which individuals will be able to enjoy and appreciate various cultural and entertainment events.

The programme organised by the AAG includes musical performances, drama productions and talks. Whenever possible, profits made by the Action Arts Group are passed on to local charities and the group is run entirely by volunteers.
