We will meet as usual near the tool store by the main wood entrance that's over the field from the Leisure Centre car park corner.
Work mornings are usually from 10am till 12pm on the second Sunday and fourth Wednesday of every month.
This will be the last work party for 2024 as the next scheduled one would have been on Xmas Day.
Last time we disposed of a lot of bramble at the top of the pylon field and also opened up the drainage channels either side of the steps leading from the pylon field down to the bridge. While we were there we found that the path at the top of those steps is getting quite muddy and slippery. We can help with this by constructing some more steps up to where the path gets more level. This will require some wood to make the steps so I'm suggesting that we first gather some wood from various sites - sort of mini-coppicing; then we can begin some construction. We will need to take some time to coordinate these tasks so that we end up with a small number of completed steps rather than a lot of half made ones. I'm thinking about wood chip transporting here. The weather over the next few days is not looking good and that may well upset these plans.
