Walk on the Wild Side
South Gloucestershire Council have organised a free ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ in Thornbury.
The walk starts from the entrance to the Morton Meadows development on Pippen Drive (at the junction with Gloucester Road) at 10.30am and should finish back at the same location by 12.30pm. The postcode is: BS35 1LJ
Please see the link below to book tickets for the event:
The walk will be led by local conservationist and historian Steve England to help residents discover more about the area and learn fun facts about its history, wildlife, plants and trees. It will be a slow paced walk, stopping to look at points of interest – both historic and nature, to look into what’s on your doorstep. Visit Steve England’s website at https://steveengland.co.uk/ to learn more about him and what he does!
The walk will go ahead whatever the weather, so if it’s raining still come! Bring umbrellas, coats, sensible footwear as we may be going off the beaten track.
