Ash Wednesday Mass

Christ The King Church, Thornbury

Whilst it is not a Holy Day of Obligation, all Catholics are encouraged to go to Mass on this day and to receive ashes as a sign of our repentance and turning back to God. The day begins the season of Lent: a period of 40 days (Sundays excluded) when we prepare for Eastertide.

Ash Wednesday reminds us that we are called to turn away from sin, to repent and to believe the Good News of our salvation through Jesus Christ.

There will be a 10.00am Mass at Christ The King School, to
which all Parishioners are invited, and a Mass at 7.30pm in the evening at Christ The King Church. Please make every effort to attend one of these.
