10am-2pm, Woodland Makery, Hardy Lane, Tockington, England, BS32 4LJ
Join Elise from Woodland Makery and JIGSAW's Family and Wellbeing Support Worker, Ceri, for a fun and exciting session in the micro woodland.
The session will run from 10am until 2pm and participants will cook together and enjoy delicious foraged food and treats, alongside a range of relaxed woodland activities.
Activities on offer include relaxing in the swing or hammock, whittling, seasonal crafts, and toasting marshmallows over the fire.
We welcome all current JIGSAW Thornbury members, as well as other members of the community who may benefit from joining our charity. If you are not currently a member, we will require you to apply for our free membership as part of the booking conditions, so that we can ensure your young person's safety and well-being during the activity.
There are 5 HAF funded places available, but please be aware that there will be a total of 15 young people ages 8 -25 at the session. If you feel you are in a position to pay for a space, please visit our website, where the remaining 10 tickets are available for a cost of £8 each, bookable through our Charity Suite platform. Free tickets for an accompanying parent or carer are also bookable.
This session will be attended by young people ages 8-25. Young people ages 14 and over, can be left by their parents and carers, however adults are welcome to stay if this would help the young person join in. If you plan to leave your young person alone at this event, please ensure any medical needs and emergency contact details are provided. If there is anything specific that we can do to help your young person join in and enjoy the session please let us know in advance.
This is an outdoor creative workshop so please wear weather appropriate clothing. Always wear long trousers or leggings, long sleeved tops, sensible trainers or welly boots, if it's been raining, waterproof clothing (jacket and trousers if it's wet) There is some shelter in the Hugge Hut in the event of wet or cold weather. We sometimes use paint, mostly child friendly but sometimes acrylic as it goes over wood better, so please wear "oldish" clothes.
Toilet facilities are limited however there is a toilet available for use if needed. There is a car park close to the venue. The Micro woodland is a very short walk from the car park, though the ground underfoot may be uneven and muddy.
