West Bristol Concert Band: Summer Concert
The Armstrong, Thornbury
West Bristol Concert Band was formed in 1977 in Shirehampton, and, with the exception of Covid restrictions, has been playing ever since! Some of us have been playing with the band for years, and some have joined recently, but we all pull together to create an amazing sound, due to our amazing conductor Sue Elderfield.
This is our first concert in the Thornbury area and we are looking forward to playing for you. We aim to provide something for everyone, from classical music to film music to "I know this one" to new music written for wind bands.
We are lucky to have our own composer in residence, Jenny Rees, and we will be playing a wonderful piece written by her for you. We have kept our ticket prices as low as possible as low as we can & hope to fill the hall! Come on along and help keep music live!
Doors 6.30pm for drinks from the bar. There will also be an interval. Batten down at 7.30pm
£8 adults, Free for children under 18s
