Octopus presents 'Murder at the Margate Majestica'
Christ the King Church Hall, Thornbury
Octopus Drama Group are proud to present an original new murder mystery comedy that combines classic 'Agatha Christie' whodunnit sleuthing with traditional British farce. Written and directed by Paul Harrod, who joined our membership last year, ‘Murder at the Margate Majestica’ promises to be an amusing evening.
Welcome to the Margate Majestica - an English seaside hotel where chaos is constant, and nothing quite adds up. ‘Murder at the Margate Majestica’ serves up eccentric guests, clashing egos and a cascade of misunderstanding. How and why will the murder take place? Can you spot the clues and avoid the inevitable red herrings?! Join us for an evening of fast-paced, playful intrigue - packed with physical comedy, visual gags and sparkling dialogue.
Performances will take place in Christ the King Church Hall, Castle Street, Thornbury from 10th to 13th June 2026 at 7.30pm. As there is seating for only 75 people in this charming 15th century building, tickets are usually in demand, so do try and get your tickets soon to avoid disappointment.
Tickets costing £10 will go on sale on Saturday 2nd May at Rosie & Rex gift shop at 32 High Street, Thornbury. The shop will be open on Monday to Friday from 9am – 4.30pm and Saturday from 9am – 4pm, except Bank Holidays.
