Supported Cooking with JIGSAW Thornbury
Turnberrie's Community Centre, Thornbury
Have you ever wanted to learn to cook a delicious meal? Well, if so, this is your chance to do it in a supportive environment!
Ceri and Sue are delighted to be hosting JIGSAW's very first cookery session for young people aged 14–18 at Turnberries in Thornbury.
Over four, fun and interactive hours, participants will get stuck into hands-on cooking, explore and choose flavours and menu ideas together, and finish by enjoying a delicious meal they've helped create.
The young people will have the choice of cooking chicken or vegetable kebabs, flatbreads and banana biscuit crunch. They will then eat their meal together, work together to wash up and leave the venue as they found it.
We welcome all current JIGSAW Thornbury members, as well as other members of the community who may benefit from joining our charity. If you are not currently a member, we will require you to apply for our free membership as part of the booking conditions, so that we can ensure your young person's safety and well-being during the activity.
There are 5 HAF funded places available, but please be aware that there will be a total of 10 young people ages 14-25 at the session. If you feel you are in a position to pay for a space, please visit our website, where the remaining 5 tickets are available for a cost of £6 each, bookable through our Charity Suite platform.
