Thornbury Art Club: Monthly Club Night

St Mary's Church Hall

Matt Williams – Achieving atmosphere with oils

Matt will talk about and demonstrate how to achieve depth, movement and drama in your landscape painting. Matt’s work connects the beauty of the natural landscape of Wales with the lived human experience of the Welsh. He is a self-taught artist, influenced by local artists and landscapes, and interested in early 20th Century British Impressionists.

We’ll have a short break during the evening where you can enjoy free tea, coffee, and biscuits. It’s a great time to relax, network, and connect with other art lovers, whether you're a member or just visiting for the evening.

Don’t miss this fantastic chance to learn, socialize, and enjoy an evening of art, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills.

Our monthly Club Nights when we have a talk/demonstration by a guest artist are now on the 4th Tuesday of the month, 7.15 for 7.30pm until 9.30pm. Visitors are welcome, and there is a non-members fee of £6 on the door (cash or card), includes tea and biscuits. Click below for further details. Free parking on site.
