A38 Next Phase - Meet The Project Team - Public Drop-In
Progress continues on the A38 improvement scheme, with resurfacing now largely completed at the Church Road (Rudgeway), Hortham Lane (Almondsbury) and Thornbury Road (Alveston) junctions.
The project now moves into its next phase: installing a segregated cycle track, improved footways and new crossing points across Almondsbury, Rudgeway and Alveston. To prepare for this, staggered overnight closures, each lasting seven nights, will be introduced to set out narrow lanes and temporary road markings.
Residents can speak directly with the project team at a public drop in session on Wednesday 18 March 2026, from 3:30pm to 6:30pm at: Gloucestershire Football Association, Oaklands Park Stadium, Gloucester Rd, Almondsbury, BS32 4AG.
