Tea To Treats Craft Session

Turnberrie's Community Centre, Thornbury

10:15am (about 1 hr)

Turn your used tea bags into bookmarks and body scrubs! It’s a fun way to upcycle and meet others who enjoy eco-friendly projects.

You'll need to do a little prep at home before the workshop, but don't worry! We'll send you a detailed guide once you register. In short, just bring 8 used tea bags and some tea leaves in a glass jar.

What we’ll do in the workshop: Paper Bookmarks and Body Scrubs

Make paper from tea bags and let it dry. It takes 1-2 days to dry completely, so you can either leave it with us (we’ll let you know when it’s ready, and you can return to the Town Hall to finish it) or take it home to dry. Once dry, you can trim and decorate it to create your own bookmark.

Mix tea leaves with coconut oil and sugar. Feel free to bring your favourite essential oil for extra fragrance!

Pre-booking essential. Register before 3 Sep 2024 via the form or by visiting us at the Town Hall.

We will send you a confirmation email with all the details and reminders once you’ve enrolled successfully.
