Fill your wellbeing cup with a Jolly JIGSAW Get Together.
JIGSAW Thornbury are launching a campaign to bring people together, tackling isolation and improving wellbeing throughout January and beyond.
Anyone will be able to host a Jolly JIGSAW Get Together to help their friends and family feel more connected, whilst raising money for JIGSAW to provide children and young people with additional needs or disabilities, and their families, a safe space to connect.
The inspiration for this campaign comes from the very special JIGSAW wellbeing breakfasts and afternoon teas, which are hosted regularly for parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs or disabilities.
These events have been described as ‘a hug on a plate’ and ‘a perfect chance to leave the world behind’. JIGSAW wants to share these wellbeing benefits with the whole community by encouraging as many people as possible to host their own get together.
The funds raised at these events will help us offer more opportunities for parents and carers to take time for themselves to recharge, and for children and young people to have fun trying new things in a safe space.
Find out more in person at a Jolly JIGSAW Get Together hosted by our young volunteers at JIGSAW’s home in the heart of Thornbury between 11am – 1pm on Saturday 27th January. Cakes and hot drinks will be available for a donation with thanks to Co-op for supporting the campaign.
From early January, resources will be available to download and print from the JIGSAW Thornbury website to make it even easier to plan your event. This includes event bunting, cake toppers, recipe ideas, template invitations and posters.
You can sign up to host your event by registering to fundraise for JIGSAW through our new online form. This will help the team at JIGSAW understand how they can support you on your fundraising journey and ask whether you want to borrow any branded collection tins or other items for your event. You can always email, phone 01454 567508, or pop in to 15-17 St Mary Street, Thornbury, BS35 2AB between 9:30am – 2:30pm Monday to Thursday to discuss your fundraising ideas too.
