King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table
Christ the King Church Hall, Thornbury
It can’t be Panto time again! Oh yes it can! And this year you are in for a real treat when Octopus Drama Group takes to the boards with their very own version of King Arthur and The Knights of The Round Table.
This hilarious pantomime, it’s a real gigglefest, has been written especially for Octopus by group member, Peter James. Many of our regulars will know Pete for his sterling comedic performances in Give Us a Sign, A Bunch of Amateurs and many more. His strong sense of the ridiculous shines throughout this show as we follow King Arthur and his Knights through several quests to rescue the fair maid Guinevere from the dastardly panto baddy, Milton Keenes.
In this Panto, directed by Abi Baskerville, you will laugh out loud as King Arthur and his useless Knights encounter the unusual residents of Bumbleton on Severn. On their travels they come across witches, elves and the inevitable half wit side kick, whose job it is to keep you smiling from curtain up to the final Octopus song. They do a brilliant job! This is King Arthur and his knights as you have never seen them before!
Performances will be in Christ the King Church Hall on Wednesday 10th – Friday 12th January at 7.30pm and on Saturday 13th January at 11am and 2.30pm.
Tickets can be purchased from Rosie and Rex gift shop on Thornbury High Street from Friday December 1st.
