Thornbury Christmas Lights "Flick On"

Join us on the High Street on Tuesday 22nd November from 6pm for TCLA’s first “flick-on”! We have been unable to host a traditional switch-on for the last 2-years due to the pandemic and were really excited to be able to return to our formal glory. However that is not the case so we will be doing a low key turning on of the lights at 7pm.
We have seen discussions in the community so would like to take this opportunity to clarify that the pandemic, road closure nor council have any bearing on our decision. For the last 5-years we have appealed for new volunteers but have only gained a few new members (who we are immensely grateful to!).
With most of our members in their later years and the remaining in full time work, there is so much we can do, and this year we haven’t been able to stretch to a full switch on event.
We invite you to enjoy the lights over the festive period - the lights will be on full time time from Wednesday 23rd November until Friday 6th January!
We encourage you to use the local shops, pubs and restaurants on the night of the flick on, and for the duration of the festive period, whilst enjoying the lights!
