From Puccini to Sondheim: Delicious Vocal Treats

The Armstrong Arts Group presents an afternoon of delicious vocal treats from Puccini to Sondheim, guaranteed to make you laugh and cry!
The highly entertaining and very versatile singer Kate Milner Evans will perform a selection including excerpts from Carmen, Tosca, Sweeny Todd and Sunset Boulevard with Nicki Barnes (Woodward) at the Piano.
Kate has years of experience on stage taking more than 30 leading operatic roles in Germany. She recently returned to England to star in shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Crazy for You, Showboat and The Sound of Music in London’s West End. Kate is originally from Alveston.
Nicki is known as a flautist but won an exhibition scholarship and prizes for piano accompaniment at the Royal College of Music coached by Robert Sutherland (accompanist to Maria Callas). She is Passionate about opera and in particular loves working with singers! Nicki lives in Rockhampton.
Kate and Nicki have recently performed for Cancer Research in Bristol and at the Pitshanger Manor Museum in London – although a relatively new duo, they have a great affinity and a lot of fun working together.
