The Thornbury Rambling Club has been meeting since 1967 and is known for its friendly atmosphere and diverse activities.
Its objectives are:
- To bring enjoyment to its members through an appreciation and love of the countryside.
- To endeavour to preserve footpaths and means of access to the countryside.
