Thornbury Memory Café

Second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, 10.15–11.45am. No meetings during August or fourth Tuesday in December.

Visitors with memory problems should come along with their carers, e.g. husbands, wives or others. New visitors will be made very welcome, so come along and give it a try. We are not a “clinic”, but we find that carers also benefit from the chance to chat to others in similar situations.

The setting is a normal “cafe” style, with our volunteers serving coffee, tea, soft drinks, biscuits and fruit, for which there is no charge, though we do have a voluntary contribution box. There is a lot of chatter and constant exchange of thoughts and ideas, and there is either entertainment or a visit from a speaker on a topical matter of interest.

Parking is very easy just outside for “BlueBadge” holders or in the nearby car park. Contact Sue Rowley for further information, or just turn up, and we are sure you will enjoy the experience and the fun.
