Bristol ACF aims to develop young people (12 - 18 years) physically and mentally, improving self-confidence, teamwork, friendship and leadership. We meet 1900 - 2130 every Thursday and welcome cadets of all abilities and backgrounds, also aiming to develop a sense of community in our cadets.
The ACF provides a wide diversity of fun, exciting and adventurous opportunities and it is a gateway to recognised vocational qualifications from the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme to BTEC First Diplomas which can help in working and school life.
Our army-related activities include Shooting, Navigation, Fieldcraft, Skill at Arms, Drill, Military Knowledge.
We also run courses in Adventure Training, such as Canoeing, Kayaking, Climbing and Skiing, as well as Sports events, Shooting competitions, Duke of Edinburgh expedition, First Aid training, and much, much more. If you have a special interest, or would be interested in trying something new, the ACF will help you to do it.
