Hawkes House
We exist primarily to help serve the needs of our local community and we also provide help more widely with other Lions Clubs across the world.
We raise funds through running our Bargain Bookshop in the St Mary Centre in Thornbury with the help of a fantastic group of volunteers.
Over the last 10 years or so we have been able to support good causes with donations totalling over £500,000.
BUT we are now only a small group of just 11 men and women and to keep our Bookshop open we need to encourage more like-minded people to join our Lions Club as it is our Club which runs and manages the Bookshop.
If our Lions Club should close then so too will the Bookshop and so will the support we continue to give locally to many deserving causes.
If you think you might be interested just drop into Hawkes House in the St Mary Centre between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday 3rd October and have a chat with the Lions members who will be there.
We’ll even buy you a coffee!
