Thornbury Art Club: Monthly Club Night
St Mary's Church Hall
This Club Night, you’re invited to watch Jonathan Newey paint a tiger portrait with acrylic paint. Jonathan will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating a striking tiger portrait whilst also sharing his techniques for capturing the majestic animal’s expressive eyes and vibrant fur using acrylic paints. Suitable for all skill levels, the session will cover colour mixing, brushwork, glazing and layering, allowing participants to develop confidence and achieve realistic effects in their own pet and wildlife artwork.
We’ll have a short break during the evening for free tea, coffee, and biscuits. This will give us an opportunity to chat with member, visitors and the artist. Don’t miss this fantastic chance to learn, socialise, and enjoy an evening of art, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills.
If you’re interested in joining the Club, our membership secretary, Pat will be on the door to give you more information, or else contact us below.
