History Talk: The Impossible Bomb
Olveston Methodist Church
Olveston Parish Historical Society History Talk: Gareth Williams, local author and retired medical professor, has turned his attention to researching the little-known story of how British and Jewish refugee scientists collaborated on a top-secret atomic project in Britain, without which Robert Oppenheimer would not have been able achieve his goal at Los Alamos in 1945.
All meetings take place in the Methodist Church, The Street, Olveston BS35 4DR at 7.30pm, with refreshments served before the start of the meeting.
Annual membership (for monthly evening meetings, up to and including April) is £10. Visitor fee for a single meeting is £3. Both are payable on the door. Fee includes refreshments. All welcome!
