‘Lego’ Worship
St Mary's Church, Thornbury
For our All-Age services at St Mary’s (second Sundays at 10.30am) Revd Joy will be trialing something for a few months, she is tentatively calling ‘Lego worship’. Worship on those Sunday mornings is not going to be planned in advance! It will have a beginning and an ending, a theme or reading for the day, and space for some hymns. Services will still begin with breakfast/refreshments at10.30am. The rest we will plan together!
The idea is to give us all time and space to think about how we shape our worship and how we might share in it together. If you are one of those people who over the past few years has said: ‘I would love to sing more…’, ‘I wish our prayers were…’, ‘I learn more when the readings are…’ this is the service for you!! Come and join in as we work out how we might worship into the future as a whole family together.
