The Shed workshops are open for members on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 17:00. An increase in opening sessions is envisaged.
Thornbury Men’s Shed, a not-for-profit local organisation, is financed by membership subscriptions and sales of repaired and recycled items.
Men’s Sheds in the UK have in the past eight years grown from 30 to 600 Sheds with an additional 150 or more in planning. That’s around 13,000 or more Shedders, as we call them, benefiting from regular social interactions, new and improved skills, and active participation in activities they enjoy.
