Fairtrade Producer Visit
United Reformed Church, Thornbury
10.45-11.45am
Come and hear from a fairtrade grower about the importance of fairtrade and how the fairtrade premium benefits their communities.
On Saturday 3rd May at 10:45 in the United Reformed Church (URC) in Chapel St, Thornbury, Rosibel Gonzalez Ruiz, a fairtrade coffee grower from the Odorico De Andrea co-operative in Nicaragua will talk about her life and work, as part of a visit to schools in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area organised by the Bristol – Nicaragua link.
Rosibel will be welcomed to Thornbury by the Deputy Mayor, Helen Ball, as part of Thornbury’s work towards the renewal of its Fairtrade Town status. Her visit will take place during the URC’s regular Saturday coffee morning from 10am to 12 noon, and tea and coffee will be available, as well as a fairtrade stall offering coffee and a selection of other fairtrade products.
This will be an informal visit, so please feel free to call in for a quick look or stay longer for a chat and a chance to ask questions about how fairtrade works. More information: Mark 07564-874221
