Stained Glass Window Artist Residency

Local stained glass artist Sarah Davis will be Artist in Residence in Berkeley Castle's Great Hall for 4 days in July.
Sarah is a designer and maker of contemporary stained glass, creating colourful hangings, panels and windows using traditional techniques. She trained at Bristol School of Art and now works from her studio in Slimbridge, just a few miles from the Castle. Sarah often works on commissions for clients and her work is exhibited and sold throughout the West Country.
During her residency Sarah will create a stained glass panel inspired by the Castle, using themes and patterns from the historic building and its contents. Each day the design will progress and you will be able to see how Sarah cuts, paints and assembles the stained glass to create the finished piece. Some of Sarah’s other work will be available to buy during her Residency. If you’d like to try making stained glass yourself, Sarah will be running a beginners’ workshop at the Castle later in July.
