Heritage Open Day ‘Edible England’ & Sale of Work

St Mary's Church, Thornbury

We will be opening St Mary’s 1.30pm – 4.30pm for you to come and visit and look at the historic points around the church, inside and out, with the help of our guide books.

The Tower will be open, for those brave enough to make the climb to see the wonderful surrounding views, (however not for the faint of heart as there are a lot of steps).

This will be on a timed appointment basis only. Mike Dennett is the contact to book: tel: 01454 419082 or email dennettm26@gmail.com. Refreshments will also be available during the day.

Mothers’ Union members made craft items during lockdown, and we wondered what to do with them. We have decided to hold a sale of work and produce, using our varied skills to raise money for AFIA (Away From It All), a diocesan fund which provides a few holidays for families in need. This will be from 1.30pm to 4.30pm and coincides with the Heritage Open Day at St Mary's. Stalls will include craft, cards, produce, plants, cakes, gifts. Please encourage friends and neighbours to support our efforts!
