JIGSAW Table Cricket Club
Thornbury Cricket Club
An exciting new opportunity for young people with additional needs or disability, aged 8 years and over, to join a weekly Table Cricket Club, led by Jeanette Tate of the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation.
Table cricket is an adapted version of cricket, played on a table tennis table and specially designed to be a fully accessible activity. Siblings are welcome to join in too.
It is a very strategic game with different scoring zones around the table and has the same participants as a normal game of cricket, such as fielders, bowlers and batsman.
Alongside the enjoyment of playing the game and competing, table cricket has been shown to develop teamwork and social skills among players. It can also help with co-ordination, anxiety and cognitive skills.
These sessions will run every week for 6 weeks on Mondays 4.30-5.30pm at Thornbury Cricket Club. Please book in advance each week via our website below - £2 per child to cover our admin costs. Places will be limited to 12 places per session.
