Thornbury in Bloom Celebration of Spring

You are very warmly invited to join Thornbury in Bloom for a celebration of Spring at The Ring of Thorns, on the Tesco bank, at 4pm on Thursday 5th May when a team of dancers from Crossways School will be dancing traditional Maypole dancing.
You may recall the ring of Thorns is 12 Hawthorn or "May" trees planted aligned with the compass points. It celebrates also the roots of the name " Thornbury" being a dwelling on a rock surrounded by Thorns.
Over the years we have planted snowdrops, primroses and bluebells on the bank and it is looking very pretty just at the moment.
We understand the roadworks will be finished by then so access will be easy and parking in Tesco car park will be fine.
This is purely a social event in celebration of everything "Blooming", no charge, although donations to our funds are always welcome!
