Deadline for applications to EU Settlement Scheme
EU nationals and their families who live in South Gloucestershire must to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme, which closes on 30th June 2021, to be able to continue living and working in the UK.
The latest regional figures show that not everyone knows or realises they need to apply: The latest Home Office data shows 13,180 EU citizens in South Gloucestershire have made the application, out of an estimated 17,000 affected residents in the county. 98% of those applications successfully achieved either pre-settled or settled status.
Groups likely to be affected include older people, young people in care, children born here to EU parents, domestic violence victims (including those with an EU ex-partner) and temporary workers.
