A two-part online course that aims to promote wellbeing for families, and help build their confidence in participating in tasks together and successfully producing a finished art or craft.
Session 1 – Monday 14 December is for adults, parents and carers. You will make a festive holly and berry felt wreath and a wire and bead decoration, with support from the tutor. This also offers the opportunity to discuss how arts and crafts can be used for wellbeing.
Session 2 – Monday 21 December is for families, parent and child together. The wire and bead decoration activity will be repeated in this session so that parents can teach their child how to do this, with support from the tutor, and build confidence together. Children will also have the chance to make a pinecone elf.
This event is being delivered in association with South Gloucestershire Community Learning. In booking this course you will be required to consent to giving your registration details to South Gloucestershire Community Learning to complete their registration and funding process. Members of the JIGSAW training team will participate in the sessions to give support to members but also provide signposting to our other support services.
£8 for both the parent and family session, which includes a pack of craft materials for one adult and one child for the activities described. This pack will either be hand delivered or posted direct to your house. Extra packs to enable further children to take part in the family session are available for £4 each.
Places will be limited to 15 families and instructions on how to join online will be sent to you by email in advance.
