Training: Good Practice around Policies and Procedures

A training workshop aimed at trustees and directors of small community groups, organised by Thornbury Volunteer Centre.
What organisations must have and what is desirable to demonstrate best practice to funders, stakeholders and the general public.
Large or small, the management committee, trustees or directors of a community group, charity or social enterprise have key responsibilities to make sure that they are running effectively, efficiently and in line with the law.
This half day session will provide an overview of the core requirements for policies and procedures to ensure organisations are compliant and discuss best practice that helps groups and organisations to demonstrate their effectiveness to a wide range of external stakeholders.
Led by CVS South Gloucestershire Chief Officer Helen Black, this session will provide management committee members, trustees and directors with an overview of requirements and tools and resources to ensure legal compliance and best practice in their operations proportionate to the size and scale of their group, organisation or enterprise.
