It's 1953, Soviet Dictator Josef Stalin the ruthless second most powerful man on the planet unexpectedly drops dead of a brain haemorrhage, his guards are frightened to enter without permission so he lies in bed untreated. When his body is discovered a frenetic surge of raw panic spreads through the leading members of the council of ministers. They scramble to maintain order, denigrate the competition and take first place in the leadership race. In the midst of the power struggle, ceaseless plotting, and frail allegiances no one is safe, not even the Chief of the KGB Lavrenti Beria.
