Lost in Paris (12A), 2016 France/Belgium
Directors: Dominique Abel/ Fiona Gordon, 83 mins, English Sub-titles
Fiona receives a call asking her to travel to Paris from Canada to look after her ailing elderly aunt. The first problem Fiona encounters is that her aunt has disappeared, and the second is that she falls over a railing into the Seine and looses her money, passport and personal effects. Alone in Paris Fiona is desperate, and for good or not, she meets up with Dom, a homeless man who lives on the river bank in a ragged tent.
An unusual slapstick comedy with plenty of laughs co-authored and co-directed by its stars Fiona Gordon and Dominique Abel.
