Tue-Fri & Sat: Curious Works & Stately Lodgings

Thornbury & District Museum

Please note this exhibition is not open every day of the week. It runs from 23 May 2017 to 22 December 2017 and the museum is open Tuesdays to Fridays 1-4pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm.

A new exhibition examining the art and architecture of Thornbury Castle.

The castle builder was Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham. One of the highest ranking and richest men in the country, he was an ambitious man with a magnificent lifestyle. Did this contribute to his downfall? Henry VIII had him beheaded in 1521.

Come and see the exhibition and form your own conclusions.

Free entry. All welcome.
