8th-11th: Octopus presents 'Finding Buttons'
Christ the King Church Hall, Thornbury
Wednesday January 8th – Friday January 10th at 7.30 and Saturday January 11th at 11am and 2.30pm
Octopus Drama Group has a policy of always putting on original pantomimes, written in the main by members or friends of the group. This year is no exception. Written by Caroline Wookey, ‘Finding Buttons’ is a pantomime sequel to Cinderella.
Time has gone by and we find Queen Ella, happily married to her Prince Charming, living a very different life in her palace. Unfortunately the whole family seems to have moved in with her. Her wicked stepmother (still wicked), her ugly sisters (still ugly) and her father (still long suffering) are all there to add to the hilarity.
Many new characters have been written in to the story and there are lots of questions to be answered. Will the fairy godmother find her magic? Who are the Pinkly Blinders? What secrets are held by the strange painting on the wall? But, most important of all, what happened to Buttons, her long time friend and admirer?
Come along to find out the answers to these questions and enjoy a fun filled evening.
